Welcome to Beverly Girls Youth Lacrosse

The objective of BGYL is to foster, encourage, and promote the sport of lacrosse in a positive learning environment. Our league provides lacrosse instruction and inter-town game schedules for girls in 1st through 8th grade.

As an instructional league, there are no tryouts, no
all-stars and no playoffs. There is no experience necessary; all girls are welcome to play, regardless of skill or experience level.

Practice is held two days per week and our games are held on Sundays typically in the afternoon. Players that participate in the weekly practices can expect roughly equal playing time. If teams have large rosters, players that do not participate in the weekly practices may see their playing time reduced.

Our coaches pledge to care for each child in the program and teach the fundamentals and values of the game in a fun and safe environment.
Our Players pledge to care for every child in the program, and understand the importance of practice, patience and teamwork as they learn to play this wonderful game.

Base cost for BGYL is $125.00 payable via check more details provided on registration page

An additional $25 is required for the US Lacrosse membership paid via credit card online during registration process.

PLEASE NOTE: There are two memberships; US Lacrosse and Beverly Girls Youth Lacrosse.

U15 - grades 7/8 - Full - Registration for U15 is closed
U13 - grades 5/6 - Full - Registration for U13 is closed
U11 - grades 1-4 - Full - Registration for U11 is closed

Required equipment

Equipment - all players are REQUIRED to have:

Girls lacrosse stick
Protective goggles
Mouth guard with no tether
Girls lacrosse stick

Cleats are recommended for outside
Sneakers for the indoor gym practices

Local stores for equipment:

Modells in Beverly - has the basic gear any new player will need.

Dick's Sporting Goods in Danvers - has the required gear plus some extra

ComLax in the Endicott Plaza Danvers - might be pricey but has everything you need including the stringing of sticks

Lacrosse Unlimited - in Danvers near the Danvers Indoor Sports facility - same as ComLax
